Spice up your life! With all the health scares around, now more than ever we need to take care of what we're putting into our body. Spices have been used in Ayurveda since the Ancient times as food preservatives, to aid digestion as well as to prevent illnesses. 🔹 Cinnamon for instance, has anti-inflammatory properties to help reduce inflammation and are also used as food preservative to prevent the growth and spread of food borne bacteria such as E. Coli and Salmonella. Cloves have heat inducing properties, which can help with digestive issues, whilst Cardamoms are a great source of minerals such as iron, potassium and calcium. With any spices though, moderation is key! 🔹 I absolutely love using spices in just about anything I cook because they smell incredible and enhances the flavours of literally anything I add it to! I found that whole spices rather than grounded ones last way longer, and a quick grind means that you can mix your favourite spices together to make your own unique version. One of my favourite is the "chai mix" which I always add to my tea… it's great for the colder months too! ☕😌 . . . . . . . #makeyourownspicemix #Ayurveda #ayurvedakitchen #ayurvedahealth #ayurvedalifestyle #AyurvedaEveryday #ayurvedaaromatherapy #ayurvedatreatment #ayurvedastudy #ayurvedanature #ayurvedacooking #ayurvedaforlife #ayurvedanutrition #ayurvedaheals #spicedtea #cinammon #cloves #cardamom #masalachai
