::PLANTS::

Few years back we decided we wanted to have indoor plants to bring some life and clean air into our home. Both me and my partner had very little to no experience in taking care of plants so we thought, why not get a cactus, what could go wrong! 🔹 So we bought this cute little baby cactus....few weeks later it died. I mean, a cactus that could survive on the harshest climate on Earth, died on our watch; how does that even happen?! Well it did and so we decided to move onto other plants but all the plants we brought in kept dying. We found out later on that we were actually over watering the plants; lesson learned. 🔹 We went back to the plant shop again and bought 3 medium sized indoor plants. This time round, we were determined to not kill the plants; checked up on them each day, and just started to take care of them more as a daily routine. With time, they started to grow! We currently have 6 plants in total and each day I wake up to find that they're still alive is a good day!

🔹 Taking care of these plants made me realise what Sir Ken Robinson had said in his book Creative Schools: “Farmers and gardeners know you cannot make a plant grow….The plant grows itself. What you do is provide the conditions for growth. And great farmers know what the conditions are and bad ones don’t. Great teachers know what the conditions for growth are and bad ones don’t.” . . . . . . . . #growingplantsathome #kenrobinsonquotes #creativeschools #learningthroughliving #yogahk #yogahongkong #Yoga #yogaeverydamnday #yogalove #yogalife #yogainspiration #yogachallenge #yogaeveryday #yogateacher #yogapractice #yogajourney #yogaphotography #yogacommunity #yogatime #yogafam #progressnotperfection
